Earlier this week, it was revealed that Ford is recalling about 391,000 Ranger pickup trucks because the driver’s airbag inflators, made by Takata, can explode with too much force and cause injuries. It’s about time. The problem with Takata airbags has been well known and publicized in other makes and models of vehicles. We recommend that anyone with a vehicle with a Takata airbag have your car seen by a qualified mechanic to carry out recall services or to have the safety of your airbag evaluated as soon as possible. Airbags should save lives and prevent serious injuries, not maim drivers and passengers!
