Matthew Ports was proud to be named a shareholder and partner with Pfaff & Gill, Ltd, on January 1, 2008 having spent his entire career with the firm, starting in March 2000. He spends 100% of his professional time as a trial lawyer representing individuals seriously hurt, injured or killed as a result of the negligence of others. Matt represents the victims of medical malpractice, construction negligence, defective products, auto collisions and other unsafe or dangerous conditions in Illinois. His work's focus is to hold corporations and insurance companies accountable for negligent conduct that harms others.
Matt has worked his entire career with outstanding attorneys dedicated to their profession. He spends time on various professional committees, and he contributes some of his time to writing friend of the court or amicus briefs for the good of all those hurt by the negligence of others. He has volunteered his personal time as a tutor and volunteer for at-risk children and as an Associate Board member for Literacy Chicago, an adult education learning center.
Matt was born and raised in Colorado where he attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. Matt moved to Chicago in 1996, the city his parents were born and raised, to attend and graduate from the DePaul University College of Law.
